Dictations on regional material as a means of linguistic and sociocultural adaptation of foreign children

Abstract

The article, based on the dictations included in the textbook "My Land, My Yugra", examines the subject matter of the texts offered to students and concludes that dictations based on regional material are not only a means of language adaptation, but also a means of socio-cultural adaptation for foreign language students. With the help of these texts, they learn about the history and modernity of the region they have come to, about local traditions, relevant professions, its nature and culture.
