Abstract

The study focuses on examining the security contours of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) through its genesis and historical trajectory of development, as well as the consequences of its policies in shaping the global financial architecture. A review of academic and expert literature on the topic conducted, systematizing the fundamental aspects of the BIS's establishment. The chronology of the BIS's development and the transformation of its functionality updated. The significance of the BIS within the global financial system's paradigm interpreted. Both current challenges and future opportunities for the BIS identified. Recommendations proposed for its adaptation to new realities. The paper substantiates the conclusion about the multifaceted contribution of the BIS to ensuring the stability and progress of the global financial system, with an emphasis on its transformative potential in the context of the evolving global economic landscape.
