License Plate Image Enhancement Processing Based on MATLAB GUI

Abstract

Image enhancement is a key technique to improve image quality and detail information in complex environments. This paper introduces a MATLAB-based license plate image enhancement processing method and designs a GUI interface to process license plate images, aiming to improve the clarity and recognition rate of license plate images. Through the steps of grayscaling, contrast enhancement, and histogram equalization, the quality of the license plate image is effectively improved and the recognition accuracy of the license plate image is increased.
