Scarring and piercing as foreign phenomena hostile to the traditional Russian image

Abstract

The article discusses some problems of the formation of traditional spiritual and moral values among the younger generation under the influence of factors destabilizing the development of national culture. The author considers such a newfangled trend as scarring on the skin or scarification and piercing as alien phenomena for the Russian cultural tradition. The features of this process are analyzed, the actual tasks of the process of educating young people are identified. The methods of pedagogical counteraction to the above-described cultural sabotage against the traditional image of the Russian person are proposed. The author presents the psychological characteristics and reasons for people's desire to change their appearance and the influence of this trend on the formation of a system of their value orientations and ideological attitudes.
