Abstract

The article examines the dynamics of the development and modernization of railway infrastructure in the Moscow agglomeration. The purpose of the study is a socio-economic analysis of existing problems, as well as determining the prospects for the development of railway passenger transport in the Moscow agglomeration. The study used statistical and economic methods. Results: the Strategy for the development of the transport system of Moscow and the Moscow region for the period until 2035 was analyzed according to key indicators. Conclusions: the development of passenger rail transport in the Moscow agglomeration is one of the most important factors of its economic growth; for this, the necessary measures are being taken and positive dynamics are observed.
