The problem of intercultural asymmetry in establishing communication with students from foreign countries

Abstract

The article discusses the purpose of integrating foreign students into the Russian education system and the need for cooperation between the Russian Federation and foreign countries in the field of education. Using the example of interaction in the educational process with students from the Republic of Somalia, the facts of intercultural asymmetry are analyzed. The article argues that understanding the essence of intercultural asymmetry, knowledge of discrepancies in perception and assessment of the situation by communicants helps to overcome intercultural barriers and contributes to the establishment of successful communication.
