Linguodidactic potential of theater and drama in RFL classes

Abstract

The article discusses the role of theater pedagogy as a technology for the formation of the communicative competence of foreign students. The features of the concepts of "drama" and "theater" in the methodology of teaching foreign languages are described. A general overview of theatrical techniques such as language games, improvisation, pantomime, etc., as well as the specifics of their application in teaching Russian as a foreign language is offered. Special attention is paid to the linguistic and didactic potential of theater and drama. It is proposed to use the possibilities of both directions of "drama in education" in the practice of teaching RFL.
