Dynamics of investment activity in agriculture of the Altai territory as a factor of technical modernization

Abstract

The article presents an analysis of the dynamics of investment activity in organizations of the agro-industrial complex of the Altai Territory for the period 2020-2024. Based on official statistical data, the structure of capital investments has been studied, an assessment methodology has been proposed, and the impact of investments on the industry's production performance has been assessed. It was revealed that, despite the decrease in the share of agriculture in the total investment volume of the region, the absolute investment indicators show steady growth, reaching a historical maximum in 2024. A direct correlation has been established between investment cycles and the growth of qualitative performance indicators (grain yields and productivity in animal husbandry), which manifests itself with a time lag. The conclusion is made about the transition of the regional agro-industrial complex to an intensive model of technical modernization and the problem of price disparity is identified, requiring the transformation of state support mechanisms.
