Abstract

The development is devoted to the functional and communicative features of navigation texts and their use in teaching Russian as a foreign language at the A1 level. The relevance is due to the gap between the everyday needs of students (moving around the city, using a navigator, and taking taxi rides) and traditional educational materials for beginners. The purpose of the work is to create thematic texts and a lexical dictionary called "Navigation in the City." The dictionary is organized into thematic blocks: basic vectors, landmarks, and distance, as well as complex constructions in a simplified form. The methodological part includes: visualization, audios, grammatical minimum (cases, imperative), interactive exercises and role-playing. The proposed module reduces anxiety, forms a confident skill of understanding voice instructions and is integrated into the entry-level program.
