Trends and prospects for the development of agriculture in the Altai territory

Abstract

The article shows the role of agriculture in the economy of the region, comparative data on the growth of agricultural production in the Altai Territory, trends in the development of crop production and animal husbandry. The main problems of agricultural development in the region are identified, special attention is paid to the problems of product sales due to changes in the logistics chains of product sales, export – import. The possibilities of export growth, shipments of products of the crop industry to the countries of the near and far abroad are presented. The role of organic agriculture and state support for its development is highlighted, new mechanisms are proposed, and the development of agriculture in the Altai Territory as a strategic branch of the regional economy is justified.
