Peer-Review

All scientific articles submitted to the editorial board of Polzunovsky vestnik undergo a mandatory double-blind review (the reviewer does not know the authors of the manuscript; the authors do not know the reviewers).

Articles are reviewed by members of the editorial board, as well as by invited reviewers who are experts in the subject of the reviewed materials.

The editor-in-chief selects the reviewer.

The review period is from 1 to 4 weeks; however it can be extended at the request of the reviewer.

Each reviewer has the right to refuse a review in the event of a clear conflict of interest.

According to the results of consideration of the manuscript, the reviewer makes recommendations about the article’s afterlife (each decision of the reviewer is substantiated):

- the article is recommended for publication without changes;

- the article is recommended for publication after correction of reviewer's remarks;

- the article should be reviewed by another specialist;

- the article cannot be published in the journal.

If the review contains recommendations for correction and revision of the article, the editorial board sends the text of the review to the author with a proposal to take them into account when preparing a new version of the article or to refute them with arguments (partially or completely). Revision of the article should not take more than two weeks from the moment of sending an e-mail to the authors about the need to make changes. The article revised by the author is re-submitted for reviewing. If the authors refuse to revise the materials, they should notify the editorial board in writing or verbally about their refusal to publish the article. If the authors do not return the revised version after two weeks from the date of sending the review, even in the absence of information from the authors with the refusal to revise the article, the editorial board removes it from the account.

If the author and reviewers have insoluble contradictions regarding the manuscript, the editor-in-chief has the right to send the manuscript for additional reviewing.

In conflict situations, the decision is made by the editor-in-chief.

The decision to refuse publication of the manuscript is made by the editor-in-chief in accordance with the recommendations of the reviewers.

The original reviews are stored in the editorial office for 5 years.

The editorial board sends copies of reviews to the authors of the articles and, if requested, to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
