Pneumatic transport has wide application in various kinds of human activity. It is successfully used in food industry for transporting bulk materials, because of a number of its advantages.
The design of various pneumatic transport systems is based on hydraulic calculation. Its main pur-pose is to identify the forces of resistance to moving two-component flow. One of the most significant forces, which is quite difficult to be defined, is the force of the flow components interaction with the channel walls – the material line. The necessity to calculate the volumetric force of transported material interaction with the channel wall depending on the material speed has been substantiated. Calculated dependencies for the forces of material and air interaction with the tube walls are proposed. The numeri-cal values of the coefficients when transporting some food products (flour, bran, mixed fodders) have been determined. The diagrams of changes in interaction of air mixture components depending on their speed are given. The reasons for the velocity influence on the nature and magnitude of interaction forc-es between the air mixture components and the tube wall are proposed and analyzed. The most rational modes of air mixture movement are offered.
