In this work, the results of studies of corrosion damage of zinc-aluminum coating on a steel sheet have been carried out. As a result of the research, it was found that the appearance of black spots on the surface of the zinc-aluminum coating is associated with the etching of zinc from its composition and the oxidation of aluminum as a result of this process in a humid acidic environment. The emergence of such an environment may be associated with the presence of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
