Abstract

The results of durometric and tribological studies of high-entropy alloys (HES) of the CoCrFeMnNi system obtained by vacuum induction melting, depending on changes in the Fe and Mn contents, are presented. The influence of the percentage of Fe and Mn on hardness, microhardness, nanohardness, Young's modulus and tribology of the HEAs of the CoCrFeMnNi system is estimated. The study of mechanical properties was carried out at room temperature. Co20Cr20Fe05Mn35Ni20 demonstrated the highest hardness and microhardness (118 HB and 184 HV), while Co20Cr20Fe15Mn25Ni20 had the lowest hardness and microhardness (98 HB and 127 HV). This significant difference can be attributed to the solid phases consisting of Mn and Ni. The results of wear resistance experiments have shown that the alloy Co20Cr20Fe10Mn30Ni20 has the highest mechanical properties with wear resistance Δn = 2.09* 10-5 g/vol. This represents a significant 4-fold increase compared to Co20Cr20Fe05Mn35Ni20.
